Holzmichl Plum Wood-aged Imperial Stout.
In the wood-aged Imperial Stout variations, different types of wood were tested to see how they affect a base batch. For this purpose, 7 types of wood (cherry, pear, plum, apple, hazelnut, oak, and chestnut) were dried and roasted in the oven, and then aged with an Imperial Stout for several weeks.
The result is 7 exciting and sometimes very different beers with their own unique flavor.
