The Hirschauer Spezial is a bright, golden-yellow export beer with a slightly malt-flower-like odor. It is both full-bodied and soft, as well as slightly malt aromatic and with a rounded bitterness in the taste. It is roasted with a 13.5% original wort and has an alcohol content of 5.5%. The Hirschauer Spezial was the best beer in its category for "The Best Beers of the Season".
