One thing should be said straight away: the term "Black" is not on the label just for fun. Its black colour conceals its cloudiness, even in the brightest backlight. But rest assured: This beer is naturally cloudy and develops a fine, creamy, capuccino-brown head. Five different malts create a complex aroma spectrum: cereal-sweet and caramelly, with notes of hearty stone-baked bread, bitter chocolate, coffee and a woody, peaty whisky. In short: all the flavours that a (whisky) malt is capable of are represented here. A flavour that you will also find on your tongue after a gently tingling warm-up phase. But that's not all - the whisky malt is more pronounced on the tongue than on the nose. And the final bitterness of hops and roasted tones had not yet been realised on the nose. Fabulous!
