It is said that the origin of IPA lies in the British colonial period in India. A pale ale was to be brewed for the colonies that would survive the months-long voyage by ship. The beer was therefore brewed with a higher alcohol and hop content and also cold-hopped to achieve a natural preservative effect. Once it arrived in India, the strong beer was actually supposed to be rediluted, but even so it enjoyed great popularity. Later, the IPA was also reinterpreted in the USA. Our HEY JOE MAD DOG IPA is based on the IPAs of the US West Coast.
A strong, fruity aroma mix of grapefruit, pine and spices, embedded in a malty, full-bodied taste with a bitter finish. For anyone who can't get enough flavor.
Bernsteinfarben naturtrüb im Glas mit anfangs schöner Schaumkrone. Fruchtiger Duft in der Nase. Malzig fruchtiger Geschmack. Nicht zu bitter. Gelungenes IPA. Sehr süffig.
