Hertog Jan Grand Prestige is our crown jewel, the pride of the Hertog Jan brewery. The special Hertog Jan malt is used for this dark and heavy Hertog Jan beer: a special mixture of four types of malt. This creates a rich, full flavor that distinguishes between sweet and bitter. Hertog Jan Grand Prestige is one of the few beers that can be aged, with the flavor becoming richer over the years. After two years of aging, the flavor begins to change. After many years, the taste is similar to that of a port wine.
