Hertog Jan Brouwerij - Hertog Jan Proeftuin #5: Tarwebock

Our Wheat Bock, is a full-bodied glass of beer in which the taste and influences of the Wheat are clear. The wheat emphasizes the body of this beer and since our Prestige malt and Hertog top fermenting yeast also play an important role in this recipe, you get, in addition to the pleasant little sour note of the wheat malt, the beautiful notes of caramel, chocolate, raisins, banana and even a touch of vanilla. We have given the beer a basic bitterness with the noble German hop variety Perle from the Hallertau region. The hop aromas are deliberately not very pronounced in this beer but delicate. This full and almost velvety beer is a treat in itself, in which the high alcohol percentage also plays an important role.
