After its completion, the fine drop is filled into highly aromatic whiskey barrels, which previously housed the Scottish Islay variety. Beer and whiskey aroma enter into a flavourful symbiosis: The barrel gives the powerful Doppelbock wonderful notes of wood and aromatic whiskey. The earthenware bottles with swing top are limited to 300 pieces. The whiskey Doppelbock from the brewery Hertl flows into the glass in a copper-red shimmering chestnut brown and adorns itself with a fleeting veil of white foam. The scent of caramelized malt, smoky peat, woody whiskey and sour citrus fruits makes you excited about the first sip. The initial taste does not disappoint: Intense aromas of ripe fruit mix on the palate with soft malt, toffee, peat and whiskey-soaked wood. A touch of citrus gives the aromas acidic notes, while the alcohol, which is well integrated into the taste, warms body and soul. A special beer for special hours.
Und gelungener Versuch, danke dafür. Lag ja nahe, das hier in Franken mal zu probieren…
