The Imperial Porter flows into the glass in the same color and with roughly the same consistency as the motor oil after which it was named. The dark beauty in opaque mahogany adorns itself with a delicate veil of nut-brown foam and exudes an irresistible aroma of roasted malt and aromatic wood. The initial drink reveals a voluminous body with complex aromatics. Powerful notes of sweet malt, toffee, caramelized nuts and candied dark fruits caress the palate. The hops lend the beer a delicate bitterness, while a hint of smoke and a subtly acidic toasted note elegantly round off the aroma interplay.
