Beer description
Year Two is a retrospective of the most well-aged, and most interesting fruited sours and saisons from Halcyon's second year of brewing.
It includes Shifting Sands: Currant and Cherry, two different fruited versions of farmhouse saison Curse of Knowledge (lingonberry and baco noir grape), and a tripel.
Year Two pours a deep pinkish red with a soft pink lacing of foam. The aroma is a fruit medley with currant and lingonberry up front while notes of red wine, cherry and vanilla contribute to the mix. The taste is quite tart at first and very fruit -forward with currant, cherry and wine making up the lion's share of the medley. The high carbonation adds body with a tingly sensation making way to a dry tannic finish with a lingering fruit wine impression.
