Hertog Jan Grand Prestige Vatgerijpt Masterblend is a mix of flavors, opportunities, experiences, and ingredients to create the ultimate taste sensation. This Masterblend is inspired by unique and one-off barrels from the worlds of Whiskey, Calvados, Bourbon, Cherry Liqueur, Pineau, Mezcal and even Red Pepper: brought together into one perfect harmony. The red pepper deserves an extra mention in this story of taste. Micha didn’t add the spices directly to the beer, but used barrels used for fermentation processes. The red pepper barrel combined with only the Grand Prestige might have been a bit too intense for the average beer lover, but gives an extra dimension in this unique blend.
