Popular throughout Switzerland, the Cardinal brand of Cardinal Rousse covers another beer style with Red Ale Cardinal Rousse. Red ales are top-fermented beers originating in Ireland. Through the use of roasted and dark malt they get their special color, ranging from amber to red. In terms of taste, Cardinal Rousse differs greatly from lager beer: it has a stronger malt character, slightly roasted aromas and a full-bodied taste. The use of top-fermented yeast develops additional flavors that enrich the aroma.
