Beer description
This NEIPA made with 176 pounds of all-natural acerola imported from Brazil. Added at the end of fermentation, the acerola gives this brew a mild tartness balanced with the extra lactose and the hoppy finish.
What the hell is an acerola? Acerola, also known as a Barbados cherry or West Indian Cherry, is a small, red-colored fruit with a tart fruity pulp. Acerola has a distinctive flavor, which is often described as a cross between a tart lime and a berry. It is known to be an abundant source of natural vitamin C. In Brazil, it is consumed as a breakfast beverage, much in the way Americans drink orange juice.
