Etyeki Graf Edeck

Brewery named this cider-beer hybrid, made for the first time in Hungary, after Graf Edeck. The name Graf is part of a novel stream from the pen of Stephen King, an apple beer brew brewed in one of the worlds of Setet Tower. According to the book, Graf can be made in several versions; may be more malt character with milder apple notes, but may also be more restrained malt, dominated by apples. The name Edeck is the German name for Etyek, referring to the Swabian traditions of the village. Graf Edeck cider-beer hybrid is based on a medium-boiled light ale and Jonagold apple juice from Vál. The two ingredients were fermented together from the beginning, so the finished drink retained its beer and apple character. The end result was a 5.2% hybrid with a taste dominated by beer and a wonderfully fresh scent of Jonagold apples.
