A UK hop variety with pronounced New World characteristics, Ernest is named after its breeder, Prof Ernest Salmon.
Expect complex flavours and predominantly fruity notes of apricot, citrus and spice from this UK single varietal.
As Oscar Wilde may or may not have said – “At Oakham, we have now realised for the first time …… the vital Importance of Brewing with Ernest.”
Another decent drink from Oakham. Nice fruity aroma. Fruity taste with a nice spiciness mixed in. Slight bitter aftertaste but enjoyable. Smooth and easy drinking session ale.
