Beer description
Emerson's 1812 is one of the first New Zealand Pale Ales of the new generation and has since become a bit of a classic, focusing on balance. The beer has a bright amber color and a cream-colored head. The aroma is reminiscent of caramel and dark toffee, balanced out by a light citrus fruitiness.
The palate is medium-bodied, initially offering a jam-like combination of ripe citrus fruits and caramelized malts, before the resinous hops come to the forefront and lead to a long-lasting dry finish.
