Beer description

Belgium and New Zealand? Two countries that have nothing in common and are, literally, poles apart. It’s Old World vs New World, flat land or high volcanic mountains, chocolate and waffles vs cows and sheep,; the capital of the EU or Antipodean wilderness, Mannekin Pis vs hobbits… But sometimes opposites do attract, especially when you brew a complex Belgian-style wit beer using aromatic New Zealand hops. Instead of using adjuncts, we carefully selected hops to take their place, brewing with Southern Cross for lemon and Pacific Jade to impart a black pepper flavour. Are all wit beers almost exactly the same – or is that an oxymoron? (With apologies – but not many of them – to Scott.)
