The days are getting longer and if the sun takes its time and the wind means well, you can sit comfortably in the sun along warm facades. Here and there the first barbecue scents are already in the air and the first discussions about this year's garden design are taking place, although the danger of snow and cold has not yet been averted. Even if the first pollen allergy sufferers had to accept the unusually early harbingers, the season is not yet clearly set to spring. Nevertheless, we deliver spring and a little foretaste of early summer fresh and unfiltered into the glass. Whether on the warm facade, on the balcony or even on the grill, this creation brings the spring-like twittering of birds to the palate and the soul! The Small Batch No.11 is a typical «Märzen» with a fine malt character and a pleasant hop. For this interpretation, we chose a traditional malt composition. So that the color and the malt character correspond to a typical March and this in connection with a rather complex «decoction process» (a process in which the mash is not only broken down enzymatically but also thermally) gives it an extra malt character. With the Swiss “Opal” variety, we have chosen a mild variety that appears alongside the - instead of against - the malt aroma. The bitter bitterness is typically in the background, while the hop aroma contributes to the taste experience, especially in the long reverberating after-drink. So we take the first few days in the direction of spring and celebrate the most beautiful season with a corresponding drop from our rock cellar.
