Since the 1920s the small town of Großköllnbach is home to the prestigious brewery Egerer. Today the brewery is owned by the same family, now in the fourth generation. Purest water from its own well, the Heinrich-Franz-Well, is only one of the key ingredients that make great beers from Egerer. Malts sourced from regional producers and hops from the nearby Hallertau finalize the products. It's dark brown with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel and the moderately sweet flavor has the same notes plus a little licorice in the dry finish.

It’s a strong beer that is more heavily hopped and bitter than typical of a dark beer. Acidic coffee flavor noted in the aftertaste.
Close to great

The headset nicely but fizzled out quickly. It has nice notes of caramel and creaminess. An easy drinker overall. The color is a red golden with a not to the flavor.
Not to shabby

Malty upfront but eases into a casual beer. Doesn't exactly stick out but not bad either.
Not bad

Good nose, light foam, kinda cloudy, decent flavor, taste like a typical dark lager, people being hard on this one... it's better than the first few days!
