Beer description
Aroma suffers from some butyric acid (stinky cheese or even rancid butter) but otherwise yields impressions of pineapple, mint, cake, cinnamon, freshly grated ginger, lots of sweet apple juice, sweet white wine, gooseberry, honey, banana, white bread dough, straw, ripe pear. Sweetish onset, very estery, lots of pear and pineapple as well as hints of banana and sourish gooseberry, softish carbo especially for the ’Belgian blonde’ style, some spicy hints which are probably a combination of phenols and actual spices but in a gentle, not too overpowering manner; soft, ’fluffy’, bready and sweet honeyish malt body, rather creamy seen its relatively modest ABV, bit grainy, mildly leading to a dryish finish of earthy, leafy hops with restrained but effective bittering power and some retronasal spiciness which nevertheless remains subdued; apple flavors are there, but only as an accent without bothering the overall profile. Alcohol is somewhat palpable in the end but nothing more.
