Burnt Mill Brewery - Circle of Onyx

This year's IWD is a Black IPA. We were joined by women from all stretches of the brewing world for our annual International Women's Collaboration Brew Day and the brilliant minds came up with this special beer. Extra Pale malt with some carefully blended dark malts has given us a beautiful black colour with little roast flavour. Ultra Dark Malt Extract from Muntons gave the colour a serious boost. We fermented with BRY 97 from Lallemand yeast for a clean West Coast style to allow the hops to shine through. For the hops we wanted to explore Crosby Hops CGX cryogenic lupulin hop pellets. We used Crosby Hop's Columbus, Azacca CGX™ and Amarillo CGX™ which has produced punchy pine and citrusy orange West Coast goodness. Gluten Free Product
