Beer description
Falcon Bayerskt has its origins in Germany and the time when all lager beers were still dark. Roasted malt gives the beer a rich copper colour, extra character and full flavour. A balanced amount of hops gives it a mild bitterness. Falcon Bayerskt is a beer that is darker than light and lighter than dark. Aroma of bread, herbs, tropical fruit and dark syrup. In the flavour you find well-baked hard bread, straw and muesli with a firming bitterness. Long aftertaste of straw and bitterness.
The bitterness makes Falcon Bayerskt a good match for creamy consistencies such as potato gratin or cream sauce. It is also good with oily fish such as tuna, as the bitterness tightens the dish. With salty foods, such as cheese, the bitterness rounds out and lifts the body of the beer even more. The crisp flavours are great with roasts and grills as the roasted aromas marry with the food. And just as well-toasted hard bread goes well with onion herring, the toasted notes go well with pickled herring.
