Beer description
Gulden Draak Calvados is the limited version by another author who was fascinated by the idea of barrel maturation and the owner of the Brouwerij Van Steenberge brewery, Jeff Versailles. In this case, the basis was the Quadruple Gulden Draak 9000, which was aged for 4 months in the brewery's cellars in oak barrels of Calvados apple schnapps, which was obtained by distilling cider. According to the creator, this is the ideal time to mature to saturate the beer with the remaining aromatic nuances of the wood and to absorb the fruity tones of the Calvados. And like previous versions of Goulden Drahakas Altbier, it is unique and complex in its taste and aroma. It is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 8-12 ° C, but do not let it heat up too quickly in the glass - it will reveal its taste more and more with each new sip.
