Beer description
Lombok has multiple meanings. It is an Indonesian volcanic island, a multicultural district in Utrecht and an ancient name for the chilli pepper. Together with sambal makers Nona Pedis, we combined the many interpretations and created a beer. For the base, we brewed a doppelbock, a bottom-fermenting malty beer, with a hint of toffee. To that, we added roasted coconut and lombok pepper. The result: liquid indulgence with a spicy edge.

As a base, we brewed a doppelbock (German for 'double bock'), a bottom-fermented malty beer, with heavy notes of toffee. Adding chilli pepper and toasted coconut, Lombokbok is liquid indulgence with a spicy edge.
