Originally a South German beer that, as the name implies, was traditionally brewed in March but was drunk until October due to the somewhat higher alcohol percentage and substantial hop yield.
The beer has a copper color and is soft, full, malty and slightly sweet in taste. The slight hop bitterness makes the beer balanced and drinkable.
