Beer description
Our “love” for Virginia moves to “obsession,” with this new saison made from all-Virginia grains. The Sarsaparilla rye brings a definite smokiness but also adds a nice layer of vanilla, mint, and licorice. Instantly we thought to use it with our signature saison yeast. The result is a local-inspired saison fermented at a slightly lower temperature than Alter Ego allowing the malt to be the main star. Virginia Pale malts and Chesapeake Wheat help create a nice body to showcase the spicy rye
