Brewery Ommegang - Legend of Laird

In the mid-nineteenth century, a fleet of Basque fishing vessels set sail into the icy Gulf of St Lawrence, hunting the wild Harp Seals that fed on the intended bounty they’d already overfished to the brink. The fishermen unknowingly awoke Laird, the Guardian of the Seals, who lurked the briny depths ensuring any fisherman that entered his waters with ill intentions would never see shore again. Aged in rum barrels with lime and fresh ginger.
