Beer description
We challenged our employees to name this beer. While their suggestions were highly entertaining, not a single one was family-friendly. As Porter’s young son would say, gesturing quotation marks with his fingers for emphasis, “They were ‘inappropriate’.” This straw colored brew is a pre-prohibition style cream ale that uses a solid proportion of flaked corn, as was typical of that time period. The malt bill gives off a slight bready aroma and keeps the body light and refreshing for a hot July day. An ale-lager-hybrid yeast strain ferments it to a crisp finish, a real thirst-quencher. One of our few filtered beers, this one is crystal clear. Enjoy it with chicken, Monterey Jack cheese or a salad.
