Brasserie Dieu du Ciel! - Grand'Messe

Alt is a classic German style (ale) from the Dusseldorf region, with a dark coppery colour that may at first glance remind you of English pale ales. The use of a different yeast gives it a less fruity, more neutral aroma than pale ale. What's more, the malts used are different and produce a less caramel finish than English ales. On the palate, the beer is moderately bitter, with fresh cereal flavours.
