The Bruery - Black Tuesday Single Barrel Project

The Black Tuesday Single Barrel Project is an experiment in purely wood and wort. We laid Black Tuesday to rest in a variety of barrel sizes to showcase the impact of varying wood to liquid surface ratio on flavor, nuance, and complexity. Our Bruers hand-selected barrels from several prestigious craft distilleries for this project, which we introduced and tasted exclusively with our Hoarders members at our 13th Anniversary celebration. Tasting Notes – The impact of the wood on Black Tuesday is apparent immediately as warming notes of vanilla from the oak shine through and create a surprisingly smooth drinking experience.
