Beer description
Bierhalle, our 6.0% German-style Märzen Lager, was brewed using the oldest German malting barley variety Isaria, and a blend of German Pilsner and Vienna malts made from heirloom barley varietals. It was hopped in the kettle with several additions of Hallertau Mittelfrüh from Seitz Farms in Germany. Towards the end of a cool fermentation with our house lager yeast, Bierhalle was spunded to allow the beer to carbonate naturally. It was then cold lagered in the brite tank for over a month before packaging. Bierhalle pours a deep burnt gold color with a light unfiltered haze. The use of German heirloom malts provide a malty-sweet taste and soft biscuit like aromas with notes of honey and toasted nuts. Bierhalle is a full-bodied lager with a gentle natural carbonation and a crisp, clean finish.
