Beer description
With the full and exciting malt body, Boxer Edition Hiver really screams for spikes. What is that? You heat a beer sting - a steel pin with a ball on one end and a wooden handle on the other. The tool is heated strongly by means of a Bunsen burner and then dipped into the freshly poured beer in the glass to heat it up quickly. Due to this intense heat, the predominant sugar components from the malt are caramelized again. The enjoyment of a spiked beer opens up additional pleasure, more full-bodiedness, new and pleasant sweetness and above all a wonderful mouthfeel, as the beer flows through a thick and warm foam into the palate. That goes well with holiday pie, hot apple pie or even tarte tatin. In Yverdon we will definitely cut open Gâteau de Payerne or Gâteau de Vully. Or just baked apples straight from the open fire.
