Beer description
Named after the National Wildlife Refuge located in the southwesternmost point of the continental US (and thusly in Imperial Beach), this is a true-to-style nut brown ale with flavors that nod southward. Toasty and highly nutty aroma-wise (owing to a fantastic malt called Carabrown from our friends at Briess) with hints of spice lurking in the background, the beer drinks lightly bitter and very clean with a generous and flavorful punch of cocoa-y Mexican coffee, cinnamon, and cloves.
