A deep mahogany shade with a golden-brown shimmer, which comes exclusively from the malt, is characteristic of this dark export beer. Made in the traditional two-mash process, it is brewed from five types of malt. Two of them are dark special malts that are kilned according to old Bavarian tradition. This Ayinger beer specialty with its warm, nutty aromas is full-bodied and smooth to drink. The long finish provides light notes of cocoa beans and coffee. A beer with a wonderful balance in taste.
