St. Austell Brewery Average Joe!

This English amber ale has been brewed by one of our fantastic Brewing Apprentices, Joe Baker. Joe is anything but average, however, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to give this delicious brew its tongue in cheek name. As part of their training, our Brewing Apprentices get the chance to design their very own beer and brew it in our Small Batch Brewery. Joe has made excellent use of a series of malts – Crystal, Roasted, and Oat, which are layered over Maris Otter and Cornish Gold. Traditional Fuggles and Bramling Cross hops bring a balanced and fruity bitterness, coupled with a flourish of flavour from the new English hope variety, Harlequin
