Hemmer Alimentos is a Brazilian company headquartered in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, which produces and sells various canned foods. In 1915, entrepreneur Heinrich Hemmer began to develop and market sauerkraut (sauerkraut). The raw material was cabbage, which he cultivated and transportation from the city by cart. With this initiative, Companhia Hemmer was born, one of the oldest industries in Brazil in the field of canned foods, now managed by the fifth generation of the founder and called Hemmer Alimentos. Longevity, uncommon in the Brazilian scenario, and the solidity of the company are a consequence of the quality of the products offered to consumers and the seriousness and dedication with which it works. In the product mix, in addition to the traditional sauerkraut, the embryo of the business started by the family over a hundred years ago, pickled cucumber and beetroot and the mustard line, Hemmer sought partnerships to offer new products to the market. That's how he brought olive oils from Portugal and Spain and launched the Italian-origin balsamic aceto. As a result, in the last three years, the portfolio jumped from 100 to 300 items.
