If you like it rustic and traditional, the Leipzig Gosenschenke “Ohne Bedenken” is the place to be. Since 1899, the Gohliser Gaststube has been the place to go for an audience that could not be more colourful: artists, students, families, politicians and celebrities. They all have always been drawn to the Gosenschenke. Around 1900, the waiter Karl Schmidt answered the question of whether this “swill” could be drunk, always with “no qualms”, which gave the tavern the name it still bears today.
