Alkoholfreies Malzbier
Bierstil
Bierbeschreibung
This is Berrie, our third low-alcohol beer. And a tad recalcitrant. To be classified as Raspberry Sour. A fruity beer due to the addition of raspberry, but at the same time slightly sour and therefore nice and fresh. You may have to get used to each other, but once you know it you'll close it in your heart.
Alcohol-free or low-alcohol?
In the Netherlands, we call Berrie with its 0.5% alcohol a low-alcohol beer, in our surrounding countries it is known as alcohol-free. In fact, in Austria, Belgium, Finland and Germany, alcohol-free beer may contain up to 0.5% alcohol. Spain has a limit of 1% and Italy and France have a threshold of 1.2% alcohol. The rules for Dutch brewers are stricter; they may only put alcohol-free on the label if it contains less than 0.1% alcohol. This sometimes leads to strange situations: the labels of foreign beers on Dutch shelves are allowed to include alcohol-free, even if the beers are not alcohol-free at all according to Dutch rules. Anyway, Berrie doesn't really care. It's all about the taste.
Recht herbes alkoholfreies Bier, was aber auch durch die Himbeeren kommt, da diese hier bitter-süß präsentiert werden. Ansonsten ein schwacher Körper und so richtig will keine süff…
